A choice of DVDs following a cruise along the Droitwich Canals from Hanbury Junction. It's downhill all the way, starting with the narrow locks of the Droitwich Junction Canal, including the staircase locks as we head into Droitwich Spa.We join the River Salwarpe for the passage into the town before joining the Droitwich Barge Canal through the first of several wide locks, and pass the swing bridges as we cruise through the centre.Watch the leisurely cruise through the mixture of rural and urban settings along the full length of the restored Droitwich Canals. We also produce a Droitwich Canals Restoration DVD showing the canals in 2008 during restoration.
Like a television programme following the highlights of the cruise, with commentary and background music. The Popular format DVD runs for 30 minutes and includes an information booklet and a fold-out map. It's available on its own or in a combined 2 DVD set with the Bowcam DVD
For a little fun we fitted a forward facing camera to our boat and, with careful editing, this shows a high speed journey along the canal. You see the forward facing view of the whole cruise and not just the highlights shown in our Popular DVD.We've added the distance markers in the top corner of the screen, and location information along the bottom so you always know where you are.The complete journey takes 30 minutes. The Bowcam format DVD is available on its own or in a combined 2 DVD set with the Popular DVD.
The best of both worlds. Many customers ask for both the Popular and Bowcam DVDs so we've put them together in one box. This includes both DVDs, the information booklet and the fold-out map.Save money buying them together, and save on postage too.
Filming during September 2008 the Restoration DVD shows just how far the restoration had progressed by then. The DVD starts at Hanbury Junction with the Worcester and Birmingham Canal and, travelling on foot, follows the route of the Canals.First the narrow Droitwich Junction Canal through Hanbury Locks and past the construction of the new cut and locks where the culvert of the Body Brook is used to pass under the M5 motorway which blocks the original alignment. Then we join the River Salwarpe, being made navigable for a short distance, to take us to the Barge Lock and onto the Droitwich Barge Canal with the long top pound starting in Vines Park. Continuing along the route of the Barge Canal we see the broad locks in varying states of preservation which complete our descent to join the River Severn at Hawford Junction. The DVD runs for 30 minutes providing a view of the route from east to west.
The Popular and Combined DVDs include an information booklet and a fold-out map.The Bowcam DVD includes a smaller version of the map.The Restoration DVD include an information booklet and fold-out map about the restoration.
The DVDs cover the route coloured red on this map.The DVDs are available in Popular, Bowcam and Combined (Popular+Bowcam) formats, and the Restoration Format.Cruising Maps are also available in Acrobat (pdf) and Memory-Map (qct) formats.
