Canal Shop is for sale

Canal Shop Logo

Just in case you hadn’t spotted the advert on Daltons, Neil’s Canal Shop Mail Order Business is for sale.

As a mail order business you could run this from anywhere, so if you would like a part-time occupation which you can fit around family life this might be for you.

Neil has built up the business over many years and is now the biggest outlet for my DVDs.  He also sells a great range of other waterway related items.

Note: this is Neil’s Canal Shop mail order business that is for sale, not Waterway Routes which continues to grow and trade as normal.

Green Padlock, HTTPS and SSL

That title is quite a mouthful and it sums up a few days’ work.

Green Padlock and https

Modern browsers identify secure web pages in various ways such as turning part of the address green, showing a padlock and/or showing the https (rather than http) prefix.

The critical checkout pages on the Waterway Routes website have always been secure.  After a few days’ work I’m, pleased to say that all the pages on my website, including this blog, are now using the secure protocols.  The address bar on your browser should confirm that, although the exact display will depend on the browser and device you are using.

All links will be automatically redirected to the new secure pages, with all pages retaining the same address, but prefixed https: instead of http:

Canal Shop Sale

A double sale opportunity.

Neil’s Canal Shop has been the largest outlet for my DVDs for many years.  He sells a great range of canal products from many suppliers.

Neil is retiring and closing down the Canal Shop.

First Sale Opportunity

Your first opportunity is the 20% discount that Neil is offering on many products, including my Waterway Routes DVDs, while stocks last.

Now might be a good time to order your Christmas presents but make sure you get there first, as Neil will not be re-stocking when they run out.  They will always be available from my website after that.

Second Sale Opportunity

Your second opportunity is the Canal Shop itself.  Neil will consider offers to buy the Canal Shop.  The Canal Shop is a thriving mail order business with an excellent customer base and a good reputation.

As a mail order business you can run this from almost anywhere and you will be starting with a ready made business.  Email Neil at the Canal Shop for more details.

Note: this is Neil’s Canal Shop mail order business that is for sale, not Waterway Routes which continues to grow and trade as normal.

Christine Balmer (Grandma) holding Evelyn Balmer.

How long will it be before Evelyn is using a windlass?
