The Wednesbury Old Canal, part of the Birmingham Canal Navigations (BCN) passes Ryders Green Junction.

It comes from Pudding Green Junction where it meets the Main Line of the Birmingham Canal Navigations, and continues to Black Lake at the end of the navigation.  At the time of writing (November 2018) the section to Black Lake is so overgrown it is impossible to navigate.

The Walsall Canal starts at the junction and passes Tame Valley Junction on its way to Walsall.

The Walsall Canal runs straight past Tame Valley Junction.  It runs from Ryders Green Junction where it meets the Wednesbury Old Canal, to Birchills Junction where it meets the Wyrley & Essington Canal near Walsall.

The Tame Valley Canal branches off and descends through 13 locks to meet the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal at Salford Junction.

The Bradley Canal starts at Moorcroft Junction with the Walsall Canal, shown above.  We are standing on the towpath looking across the Walsall Canal and into the Bradley Canal.  Head left along the Walsall Canal for Tame Valley Junction and right for Walsall Junction

Birchills Junction is where the Walsall Canal meets the Wyrley and Essington Canal, both forming part of the Birmingham Canal Navigations (BCN).

The Wyrley and Essington Canal runs from Horseley Fields Junction in Wolverhampton past Catshill Junction to Ogley Junction.

The Walsall Canal runs from Ryders Green Junction through Walsall to finish here.
