Coventry Basin is surrounded by a mixture of traditional and modern developments.
With just one canal route from the basin, all routes lead northwards.
James Brindley helped build the Coventry Canal, although he didn’t complete it, and this statue shows him pouring over plans at a desk.
Some of the surrounding warehouses and cranes are still standing.
