Sankey Canal

The Sankey Canal is the name sometimes used for the St Helens Canal, partly because it used the line of the Sankey Brook when it was constructed.

For consistency, I use the name St Helens Canal throughout this website.

This part of the St Helens Canal (or Sankey Canal) won’t need much effort to make it navigable
